JOB SUMMARY: The Job Coach’s job function is to support and coach individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities seek and maintain paid employment in integrated business settings in the community, under the direct mentorship and guidance of the Supported Employment Program Coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are basic responsibilities and essential functions of the Job Coach position. Responsible for the daily implementation of Support Plans for an assigned group of The Job Coach is responsible for the safety and well-being of the assigned service recipients and is required to comply with all agency standards, policies and procedures, assuring quality services are provided on a daily basis. Be a productive team member; promote a positive work environment regarding Persons Supported, co-workers, family members, employers and community members with courtesy and respect. Responsible for providing specific services as outlined in the Person Centered Support Plan and be knowledgeable of any special needs. Responsible for the supervision of assigned Person Supported at all times to assure their Assist in the development of schedules that are meaningful, promote independence for Person Supported and develop skills for competitive employment and meet Department of Disability and Aging's guidelines. Monitor Person Supported for behavioral or medical issues and report timely. Complete Perform the duties of Job Coach assisting Person Supported in the development of Will be responsible for transporting Persons Supported to and from employment sites as Participate in staff team meetings and attend required staff training. Maintains flexibility and commitment regarding pre-set work schedule. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the basic requirements and qualifications for the job. Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred but not required. Prior experience with Job Coaching, Assessments and Exploration a PLUS. High school diploma/GED Must posses a valid Tennessee driver license with a clean driving record and with the ability to obtain an F endorsement within 2 weeks of hire. Must be at least 21 years old (to drive company vehicle) Must posses effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak with prospective employers confidently and knowledgeably about our mission and goals. Must comply with all required training, through DDA & Hilltoppers, Inc, as well as ongoing/continuing training/furthering education as needed or required. All training is provided and paid. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks with a calm and problem solving approach. Must be able to pass completion of background checks including criminal, sexual registry, abuse, etc. Must further be able to pass drug screening. Hours of employment are varied between 5:00am-5:30pm Monday-Sunday with varying hours and rotating weekends.
