Volunteers are needed to make this community event even bigger and better than last year. Volunteers are needed as greeters, main gate attendants, vendor setup, etc., hours are flexible. If you have some free time and have an interest in guns and/or knives or if you just enjoy getting out and meeting people, this is a great opportunity. New Shooter Seminar

Certified NRA instructor and range safety officer, Don Elliott, will lead this seminar. Retired Chief Deputy Bill Ashley will be present to answer any legal questions as a former member of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
In addition to the basics of being a new shooter which will include gun safety and types of firearms, participants will learn about what to expect at a gun range including what to bring. Questions regarding ammunition, magazines, sights, and gun parts will be answered. Hands on training for proper cleaning of your weapon will be included. Proper gun storage will be discussed for home and travel. This seminar is open to anyone interested in learning how to safely handle and store a gun. Couples and families welcome.
