The October Chain Maille project recognizes the upcoming change of seasons from Summer to Fall.
With Fall comes the harvest, this bracelet captures the many colors of autumn, which is why the
bracelet is named “Harvest.” Gold, silver, copper, and bronze colors highlight the theme of Fall and the
harvest.
This bracelet is crafted using the traditional byzantine weave and is fitted with the popular magnetic
clasp. Once mastered, the weave is suitable for bracelets, necklaces, or anklets depending on the size of
the jump rings. Variations in colors create beautiful combinations as the intricate pattern of this
bracelet demonstrates. The Byzantine pattern is one of the basic building block weaves used in Chain
Maille.
This class is suitable for all skill levels. Together, we’ll cover everything you need to know and learn
this weave. This bracelet will surely become one of your favorite Fall pieces. This piece is comfortable
with jeans and sweater or slacks and a light jacket.
This session will be held October 21, 2021, from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. Tools are provided for use during
the class or if you have some favorite tools of your own, feel free to bring them.
The cost for this three-hour class is $65 for Art Guild members and $70 for guests. This covers the use
of the studio in the beautiful Art Center at Fairfield Glade, equipment and materials. Payment is due at
time of registration.
Material kits are included in the cost above and include enough supplies to make an extra-large
bracelet plus the popular magnetic clasp. The maximum class size is limited to 6 (six) students, so
space is limited.
Come and join us for an afternoon of fun, meet some new people and learn a new skill... and to make
this beautiful bracelet. To register, drop by the Art Center or call 931-707-7249. Someone will assist
you and ensure you have a spot in this session.
