For so many of us, Christmas was truly the most wonderful time of the year. It was a time of joyful happiness and continuous smiles. However, somewhere in our journey of life, something happened:
Someone close to us died. A family member is deployed. A cancer diagnosis is given. A once happy marriage ended. Someone is missing. Someone is hungry. Someone needs a job. Someone is addicted. Someone is desperate. And the list goes on and on...
The joy of Christmas is replaced by grief and sadness. We try our best to be joyful and thankful, but it seems almost impossible during this time of the year.
We invite you to attend a special service, called the Blue Christmas service on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:30 pm. It will be a service to recognize all of those feelings that are holding us back. It will be a service to have an honest conversation with God about why and how we feel this time of year. And it will be a service about restoring our hope and our trust in God.
