Intermediate Oil Painting- Impressionism

Join Anita Kummer in this 2 day experience to learn the key elements of French Impressionism. Participants will learn & practice techniques in order to achieve the effects seen in works by Claude Monet and his contemporaries. Instruction is geared for intermediate level artists who wish to learn a loose, “painterly” style to apply their own artworks. 

Each session will last three hours. In the first session, students will copy Claude Monet’s “Banks of the Seine,” focusing on sunlight and textures. In the second session, students will create an original painting of their own composition employing techniques used in the first session.
