SUMMARY:Beginning Watercolor Painting
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint in watercolor?  Have you ever said\n\nthat you can't even draw a stick figure?  Award winning artist and Art Guild\n\nmember\, Sheryl Reeser is teaching a four-session class for those with little or no\n\nexperience\, and you don't have to draw the picture!\n\nSheryl's four-session watercolor class for beginners will be held in September on\n\nthe following dates:  Tuesdays\, the 14th and 21st from 1:00-4:00\; and Thursdays\,\n\nthe 16th from 9:00-12:00\; and the 23rd from 1:00-4:00.  The cost of the four\n\nclasses will be $140.00 for members and $160.00 for guests.  For those with no\n\nbasic supplies\, the cost will be determined\, payable to the instructor the day of\n\nthe class.\n\nWatercolor basics will be taught including advice on paper\, brushes\, and paint to\n\ncreate quality watercolor paintings. You will learn techniques for mixing and\n\napplying the paint.  Sheryl will take you step-by-step to paint a beautiful picture\n\ncalled "Bluebird and Blackberries" from a pattern by artist Susan Scheewe Brown.\n\nReeser knows exactly how an inexperienced person feels when tackling a new\n\nskill.  When Sheryl retired to Fairfield Glade in 1995\, she wanted to learn how to\n\npaint in watercolor\, but had never painted in any medium.  She joined the Art\n\nGuild and started taking classes and reading lots of books. Her instructors were\n\nboth local and nationally known artists like Mary Whyte.\n\nSheryl credits local watercolor artist\, Le Voss\, as her mentor. Le encouraged her\n\nto teach watercolor classes.  Reeser\, a retired teacher\, began teaching classes in\n\nthe year 2000 and has taught all levels.
