DESCRIPTION:A mosaic is a pattern or image made of small regular or irregular pieces of colored stone\, glass\n\nor ceramic. This class\, taught by artist Manuel Marti\, will focus on the process and techniques\n\nnecessary to develop glass mosaics on stones. The class design will be a simple composition\n\ntab and will serve to illustrate the necessary steps to select\, execute\, and finish glass mosaics\n\non stones or other similar base surfaces.\n\nThis class is suitable for all skill levels\; although\, an interest in working with sheet glass may\n\nfacilitate the learning experience. Marti will cover everything you need to know to learn how to\n\nwork with glass shapes\, adhesives\, and grout.\n\nThe class will be taught on Thursdays\, October 7\, 14\, 21\, and 28 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.\n\nThe class is open to students of all skill levels. Tools will be provided for use during the class or\n\nif you have some favorite tools\, feel free to bring them.\n\nThe cost of this 4-day class is $165 for Art Center members and $185 for guests. The $25\n\nmaterial fee is included in the cost. This covers the use of the Art Center studio\, equipment and\n\nmaterials.
